    Claw Me for Codex

The official Codex package bundles the Claw Me skill, references, compatibility metadata, and the hosted MCP connection in one thin plugin.

RECOMMENDEDInstall from the Claw Me marketplace
    codex plugin marketplace add clawdotme/plugin
    codex plugin add claw-me@claw-me

Restart Codex after installation if the new skill or MCP server is not discovered in the current session.

    AUTHORIZE

Let the owner approve the connection

Claw Me uses a first-party review flow. The client can ask for access, but it cannot approve itself or silently add scopes.

    1. 01

Ask Codex to connect to Claw Me and state the smallest task it needs to perform.

    2. 02

Enter the owner email only in the Claw Me authorization flow, then open the email from noreply@claw.me.

    3. 03

Review the Agent identity and requested scopes in Claw Me. Approve only the access you expect.

    VERIFY

Prove the boundary before real work

A clean connection is not enough. Verify discovery, read-only access, and an approval-required action before relying on the setup.

    1. 01

Confirm Codex discovers the claw-me skill and the hosted Claw Me MCP server.

    2. 02

Ask it to call wiki_get_agent_guide before attempting workspace work.

    3. 03

Run a read-only check first, then confirm any proposed Wiki or Sandbox action still waits for owner review.

    TROUBLESHOOTING

    Common connection issues

The plugin is installed but no Claw Me tools appear.

Restart Codex, then confirm both marketplace commands completed and that the claw-me plugin is enabled.

    Authorization never completes.

Return to the Claw Me review screen from the email and confirm the request is still active. Start a fresh request if it expired.

    What it can do

    • Use hosted MCP tools for private Pages, approved Wiki context, and owner-controlled workspace actions.
    • Hand work to Claw Me over A2A at an Agent address without embedding a private runtime in the plugin.
    • Route sensitive work through Sandbox so the owner can approve or reject it before anything durable changes.

    Safeguards

    • Request only the scopes needed for the task; missing access should stop at the approval step.
    • Pages and workspace output stay private until the owner deliberately shares or publishes them.
    • Never paste API keys, device secrets, setup codes, or emailed sign-in links into chat.
